Funding Award for "16 Square Blocks"
Last week I received news that the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs had awarded smART Ventures funding support to the project 16 Stories from 16 Square Blocks. Now supported by King County's 4Culure, and the Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority ( SCIDpda) this project is truly a citywide collaborative. 16 Stories from 16 Square Blocks is a unique multimedia documentary project composed of 16 documentary shorts intended to empower the local Chinatown community in sharing the story of their neighborhood, and testify to the neighborhood's historical role as a cultural crossroads.
Look out for updates and blog postings as the project jumps into full production this month.
